Okay cats and kitties, it's been too darn long. Still waiting to try out 9.0, but just because fate seems determined to prevent testing doesn't mean I'm going to let production shut down any longer then it already has! So, onward and upwards!
Batch 10.0
Base: Smirnoff Vodka
Method: Cold Infusion
Additions: 5.7 oz Watermelon Jelly Bellies
Batch 11.0
Base: 150 Proof Everclear
Method: Cold Infusion
Additions: 3.8 Oz Birthday Cake Remix Jelly Bellies
That's right, a two for one special. Time to ramp up production a little to make up for lost time. The Everclear is intended to work as a punch base, mixed with Orange Soda and Orange Sherbet. I've had good luck with the commercially available cake flavored vodkas and orange soda, time to try kicking it up a notch. The odd weight is because I'm too cheep to order them online, which is the only way I've found to get them separate from the Ice Cream Parlor mix.
I'll admit it, I'm doing the watermelon more because I'm curious about the color then the flavor....In case you're not familiar watermelon JB's are green on the outside and red on the inside, because that's the way they do things ;) The odd weight on that one is because I'm not that good at measuring things out of the bulk dispensers.
After a duh moment, both of these will be left to sit for several days, then strained through a coffee filter to remove minor impurities. After that they'll be placed in the freezer for observation (more on that when I write up the final notes on batch 9.0)
