Okay cats and kitties, it's been too darn long. Still waiting to try out 9.0, but just because fate seems determined to prevent testing doesn't mean I'm going to let production shut down any longer then it already has! So, onward and upwards!

Status Update
Sorry for the recent silence around here, a series of plagues has swept through the labs and knocked us all off our game. While we're still not 100% around here we're good enough to get things rolling again. Batch 9.0 should be strained tonight in prep for testing tomorrow. Final decisions are being made as to the next batch to start on after that, and we're hoping to roll out some advanced uses for all this booze shortly. The second half of October is looking like it's going to be a busy month for us, with a full scale party around Halloween where we're planning on running a couple experiments to get feedback on, and then the Dr and I are planning on heading to ICON 37 in Cedar Rapids Iowa the first weekend in November to pursue a whole new batch of test subjects, so we're looking at doing some serious stocking up in prep for that. Experiment 9.0 Status Update 1
Swapped out the original 4 oz batch of Jelly Belly's for a fresh batch last night to see if I can strengthen the flavor. Color is looking wonderful, and inspecting the beans this morning it looks like they're dissolving some, which hopefully means the vodka isn't saturated yet.
Decided to do the beans in two batches partially so I could check the condition of the second batch of beans to see how much they added to things, and partially so I could keep more vodka in the bottle. If this works out the way I hope this will likely become my usual production method, the bottle size works well in term of price and quantity. Experiments will still be done with smaller amounts for the sake of our budget. Sampling will likely be done some time next week, I want to give it a little longer to absorb flavor so my usual Friday night testing group won't work this time.

Status Report
Hello all, just a quick update!
We have a few parties coming up in the next few weeks (mostly attending, not hosting thank goodness) so we're in the planning stages of a few things, so no active experiments at this time. We have a few things planned, and I may be stopping at the store on my way home from work to pick up supplies for the good Doctor. Judging from the maniacal laughter he let loose with the other day there should be some fun things in store for all of us.

Experiment 5.1 Sampling Report
Success! After initial sampling proceeded to acquire three further test subjects, two of whom had been exposed to the prior batch. Results were overwhelmingly positive, with test subject one going back for more later in order to make a mixed drink with it.

Experiment 5.1 Initial Post
This batch is a repeat of a previous experiment that failed at least in part because of the decision to try a cheep brand of Vodka. Not a mistake we intend to repeat.
A bit of background
Greetings all! We're starting this up to try and share some ideas about some experiments we're doing here at Khaotic Labs. Most of them will involve alcohol of some sort, so if you're underage bookmark us and come back when it's legal for you to try this stuff.
I know there's plenty of blogs and sites out there about this sort of thing, but this one is ours. If you like it, feel free to stick around and see what we get up to, and if you don't, well, the virtual door's that way, don't let the lolcat scratch you on the way out.
That being said, we're always open to new ideas and new techniques. Not going to promise we'll try every suggestion we get, but anything presented to us politely will be considered.
