This batch is a repeat of a previous experiment that failed at least in part because of the decision to try a cheep brand of Vodka. Not a mistake we intend to repeat.

After successfully adding Skittles to previous batches of vodka the decision was made to attempt to infuse the taste of Jelly Belly jelly beans into vodka to provide both a tasty drink and a potential base for further experiments. First experiment was a total failure, due mostly to poor choice in Vodka as noted above. Assuming changing the vodka fixes the problem we hope to move forward with other flavors and possible flavor combinations.
Weights are not available for this batch since we weren't initially planning on reporting on things, but should be provided in the future.
As a result of observations from the previous batch, the beans were mashed up prior to adding to the Vodka, in the hopes of getting more of the center flavoring into the mix. The mix was placed in a mason jar, sealed and placed in kitchen cabinet to keep away from little hands and potential disasters. Mixture will be chilled in freezer before serving, but is being allowed to stay warm for now to encourage the beans to dissolve. We are currently shaking the jar twice daily to help distribute flavors as equally as possible.
First tasting is planned for Friday, expect more notes either that night or Saturday morning.
