The goal of this experiment is to create a 'mixer' for use in making punches for parties.
Batch:8.0
Base: Everclear (75% variety) 1 1/3 cups
Method: Cold Infusion
Addition(s): 2oz Cherry Skittles
I'm a touch concerned that there won't be enough flavor from the Skittles, but when you start with a 7.2 oz bag there's only so much you can hope to pull out of it. The Everclear is calculated to change a 2 liter bottle of soda into an approximately 20 proof punch. Going with a light start for testing purposes, since we need to evaluate how much flavor is added from the candy to the punch, as well as how well it mixes with the Everclear. Candies are being left intact, previous experiments showed no problem with the candies dissolving.
As with batch 5.1 the mixture will be left in a cabinet away from little hands to allow for faster dissolving. I'm hoping to once again test on Friday (yay for weekends!)
